Please refer to example in attaced archive.

The form has two TLables with different Alinment parameters (taLeftJustify , taRightJustify). In Sisulizer visual form editor all labels are displayed with Alignment= taLeftJustify, no matter which alignment had been applied in Delphi editor (as far as we know, but we may be wrong).

Therefore we have a problem with RightJustify labels. Particularly: if translated text in RightJustify label is longer or shorter than original text, we have to move this label (in Sisulizer) right or left to make it properly positioned in the localized interface.

However when the application is run, RightJustify label is being repositioned, and we do not want that to happen (since this label is RightJustify). Thus we made unnecessary repositioning of RightJustify label in Sisulizer visual editor because it is displayed there as LeftJustify label. Is there a way to avoid this?

Dear colleagues,

The bug mentioned above has been fixed and the localization was successful with Sisu2008 (build 281).

Now we begin the localization of a new version of our product.

But on the latest version of Sisulizer – Sisulizer2010 build 315 this raLabels bug has occurred again.

I.e. there are all the same symptoms:
- during editing, the text in raLabel begins to "grow" to the right side. And we have to correct the position of raLabel all time.
- raLabel appear again as laLabel.
- when we run a localized application the position of raLabel become unpredictable.

Please find screenshot exemplifying this issue attached to this post.

Please fix this bug again.

Could you also upload that "French is a current language" dialog as DFM-file. Or just post it here as Text format.

Ilkka

I have checked the effect of this option. And I see the following:
raLabel is working as raLabel only if I do reset its position (Restore -> Bounds). When you run the application everything is fine.
But as soon as the need to change the position of raLabel and TEdit (depending on the situation), then raLabel working again as laLabel. I.e. when editing text, it again begins to "grow" in the right direction. As a result, we obtain a situation where once again need to individually check each raLabel.

Yes thare was some situations when a position was written incorrectly. I fixed it. I also added a new option because different Label-componets act difefrently. We will publish the new build soon.

I downloaded the build 322, but can not find this option. It is very important to us. Make it last, please.

Please, check "Add margin automatically" setting visible on your screenshot and tell us, if this works for you.

Best regards,
Janusz

Hello!

Much time has passed since our last communication.
Now it is difficult to remember the reason for which this topic was not finished.

We are still using the 2010 version because I did not notice any significant differences in the new version.
Version 2010 continues to produce normal language packs in which right-aligned labels are shown correctly.

Yesterday I downloaded the trial version 4: Everything is as before. And if I answer to your question from 2011, it’s like this: I don’t see any visual changes due two marked checkboxes. The editor is still show a strong shift in localized right-aligned labels. They retain their original value of the Left-property. I also see in the DFM-file that the label property called AnchorX is ignored by the editor in the localizer.

My question is: Has anything changed after these years? Or maybe I do not notice the changes?

Best regards,
Oleksandr

Hi,
Please be aware, that some settings only work on new projects or after a Project - Scan for Changes is done. Sisulizer will not move around your controls once the have been setteled.

Anyway  I ask R&D about that.

I read the thread above again....

After the last post from Janusz in 2011 we did not get a feedback from you if that worked for you and thus we assumed the issue was solved and closed.

Markus

Possible reasons that the topic is stalled:
- Localizer 2010 provides the correct files, regardless of the fact that there is a glitch in the editor.
- We didn’t use the controls in the localizer at all. Scanning of integer properties of controls was disabled in the settings.
- And I made all adjustments to the size and position of the controls in the Delphi editor so that the localizations (about 20 languages) worked correctly immediately and for everything.

I will clarify that I always perform a project rescan after I change any settings.
Exactly like the fact that i do no movements of controls in the localizer are performed.
I would just like to see an adequate location of the labels aligned to the right. The situation when the length of the original text and the translation are very different is very annoying.

Oleksandr

It is very strange that over the past few years no one raised this question.
