Hi!
As you probably guessed by now, i had saved up some notes about Sisulizer and now i have reported most of them. However i saved the most annoying thing for last :)
As stated in subject, pressing ctrl+shift (in row, while editing translation) will switch the current row to RTL.
In my opinion this is very poor choice of keyboard shortcut. Ctrl+shift+arrow key is used for selecting a single word from left/right of cursor position. It is very useful in translation and text entry in general. But this universal shortcut that works in every last text entry editor in Windows is essentially useless in Sisulizer.
Please make the RTL shortcut something else or at least provide option to disable it.
Thanks!

Hi,
I can't reproduce that. Ctrl + Shift doesn't change the direction of writing on my PC.
Ctrl + Shift + Arrow works as you describe.
You find all Shortcuts in Sisulizer under Tools - Shortcuts where you can even edit them. By default no shortcut is invoked by plain Ctrl + Shift.

I checked again and can elaborate:
When you press Ctrl+Shift on left side of keyboard then RTL is cleared. When you press Ctrl+Shift on right side of keyboard then RTL is activated. Only while in cell editing mode. Please try.
There is of course no such shortcut under Tools->Shortcuts. First place i checked.

OK, I reproduced this on my system. I'll ask our developer about this key combination.

I also re-tried. I can't reproduce.

But I found, that it is a standard Windows behaviour you can switch off. Since it isn't a Sisulizer setting it doesn't show in nthe shortcuts.

You can change it in the windows settings.

On every windows version it is hidden a bit different. This thread will help you to find the windows setting for your windows version

Markus,I tried to disable as instructed in linked article (see attached screenshot. red underline marks what the option was previously) but Sisulizer still switches RTL on ctrl+shift. Also i have only English and Estonian keyboard layouts installed and language bar is disabled.
I don't think this is a Windows feature. Sisulizer is written in Delphi, right? None of my Delphi apps or any other Windows app manifests such behavior.

Have you restarted your PC after changing the setting in Windows?

As I said I don`t see the effect on my Win 10 machine. Anyway, perhaps R&D has some idea.

To my knowledge the input field in Sisulizer sheet is a simple textbox placed above the grid in the moment you start to edit. Therefore it behaves like a standard windows textbox. I don`t see a reason why R&D should add some keyboard shortcut to a control already having this by default.

Have you tried to use the edit panel below the grid instead?

Yes, i restarted the development guest VM.
No, had not tried the edit panel before but i just did now. The shortcut works there too :)
Maybe R&D had an Arabian side-customer who wanted real easy way to switch RTL mode :P
