The programmers (who work in Visual Studio) write comments on the different strings I am supposed to translate,. These comments are very helpful to me, as they tell me how the certain elements are supposed to function and give me an indication as to how they should be translated. However, even if I view the coloumn 'Comment' and 'Row comment' and then rescan the project, Sisulizer does not seem able to get hold of the comments.

Did you use project localization (selected .csproj or .vbproj) or binary localization (selected .exe)?

When using binary localization the comments are not available. This is because the compiled .NET resources do not contains the comment data. Only the .resx file contains them.

Project localization reads and localizes the .resx files extracting also the comment value from the file.

Instrwad of adding .exe to the project add VS project file (.csproj or .vbproj) or Borland Developer Studio project files (.bsproj) if you use Borland's compiler.

Best regards,

Jaakko

According to the programmers we use .csproj-files. But it still doesn't work. Anything else I should try?

Seems like the problem is solved. Only a certain kind of files contained comments. When I tried the right kind, the comments showed in the coloumn 'Row comments'. Thanks for your help, anyway. Isabella
